Comparison: Sample Point by Point Essay. In longer essays, each half of the comparison is a separate paragraph (as in this essay). In a short essay, they may be combined in one paragraph. A transition separates the two halves of the comparison (different from, in contrast, on the other hand, etc. ) Use it to pull the reader in. Remember, though, that in the body of your essay you will be using examples to prove your point; this is a different kind of example, used only to introduce your point and intrigue your reader.

The difficulty comes when they must comment on why a PROOF helps their original POINT. The commentary does two things: explains the validity of your proof, and; links the proof back to your original point (which is the reason you're writing in the first place! ). Persuasive Essay Persuasive, as well as argumentative essay, is aimed at proving that this or that point of view is correct, while another is wrong, using logic, facts and argumentation as its tools. The Five point (also known as five paragraph) essay is simply thatan, essay which completes its goal (defending its thesis) in five points. There is no thesis without a point proven, there is no argument without a point proven, and ultimately, there is no essay without a point proven. How can the answer be improved?
